The video was posted on July 3rd, 2021, it shows a tornado and lightning getting very close to the Phillies game at Citizen Bank Park in Philadelphia.

I found this video scrolling through my ‘for you page’ on Tik Tok and it appears I am not the only one. The video has received over 20 million views as of July 11th and it is still increasing.

The Phillies official Tik Tok even commented “our fans are built different”. However, lots of people in the comments are spectacle if this was even real.

Is this true?

According to CBS Philly, the National Weather Service did in fact confirm that a tornado touched down in Harrington Delaware Thursday the 1st. It is verified the city cleanups are underway after heavy thunderstorms and tornado touchdown.

It is false!

There was indeed a Phillies game scheduled for July 1st however due to the extreme weather it has been postponed to July 16th.

Further research into the account that posted this video shows that the account likes to use special effects to make it look like these storms are occurring in crazy circumstances. The handle being @gmoney1289. Not only does he post storms but he also posts extraterrestrials and much more. His real name is Greg Pietrantonio and his specialty is special effects! After the video was reposted on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube it is fair to say he must’ve fooled some.
